08:42 pm - Begging your indulgence
I started using the Posterous service last year and have, until now, used it mainly as an outlet for photography. I've just learned, however, of their ability to connect with other services such as LiveJournal and Facebook.

So this post is an experiment in how it will be treated by Posterous and the services it connects to. My apologies if you see this multiple times. My hope is that I'll be able to tweak things in such a way as to minimize overlap while still getting my ideas out to people I want to share them with.

Your feedback and comments on how this appears for you are welcome.

11:45 pm - Just some things I was thinking...

Today has been the day of meeting with lots of folks to learn more about the new job. Not doing a lot, but learning a lot!

Was hoping brown rice with my lunch would help avoid carbo-crash following. So far, no such luck.

Home from first day as full-time employee. Successfully orientated. Will make benefit elections later this week.

Overheard at gaming: "That's probably not his *good* shiv."

Looking up propagation techniques in preparation for planning Operation Daffodil for next week.

bestc.am/bbe The cupplants are blooming.

Watching the Twins have a much better game against the Tigers. Need a few more pitchers like Pavano in the second half!

bestc.am/NCCj Tara keeps watch out the window.

Gathered seeds from my blue-eyed grass (Sisyrinchium montanum) this evening. Must read up on prepping them for germination.

Also spent a little bit watching the bumblebees work on the bergamot (Monarda fistulosa). Very peaceful watching them busy themselves.

Trip to the dog park aborted with flat tire. AAA on the way as I couldn't find a pump or jack. Dogs very confused.

Jealous of the attention given insects, it is becoming a beehive itself. #Neilgaimanshair

Wondering what to do about dinner. Had pizza last night and for lunch today. Must investigate the fridge and larder!

Just watched "The Lodger." Want next episode now, please!

Three days of neck pain keeping me laid up? Seriously? If this is growing up, I'll have none of it!

Noon approaching. This means another dose of anti-inflammatories. Oh yeah, and food.

Out of ibuprofen, so went with naproxen at noon. Is keeping neck pain to a dull ache. Should have tried this earlier.

Less pain let me admire prairie. Butterflies like coneflower: twitpic.com/23u8kz Bumblebees like bergamot: twitpic.com/23u8te

Things learned: After vampire attack, one is up all night. 2) If one is up all night, you can do worse than have some @StevenBrust to read.

Regimen of ibuprofen, ice, and good posture (can you have bad posture lying down?) is reducing pain from vampire attack. Still feel thirsty.

You know, I like laying around doing nothing as much as the next guy but I prefer to not be in pain while I do so.

Woke from a much-needed nap still a bit sore. More ibuprofen. More sleep.

Laid up with a neck twinge. Could be strained muscle or pinched nerve. I suspect vampire attack.
