01:34 am - Butterfly Day
Last week, Mary had a day off of work and we took advantage of the time and Ericka having some PCAs to care for her to run a few errands and stop by the Como Zoo to see their butterfly exhibit.

These are taken on my iPhone so they aren't the best ever, but they are still pretty neat IMHO.

A butterfly poses under the name of the exhibit.

They had a card identifying species, but I don't have the one I saved handy.

Flowers too
In addition to the hundreds of butterflies fluttering about, the flowers grown for them to feed on were also lovely.

Some of them were particularly hard to photograph, either by being camouflaged or by hiding their best colors upon landing.

Holy Perch
Here, a butterfly lights on the knee of an elderly nun visiting the exhibit.</td>

One outside
And as a bonus, here's a butterfly that visited my prairie earlier this year.

The Fair has a butterfly house with friendly butterflies. Which I missed while chasing down politicos. Another reason for a second trip... maybe Friday when it stops raining...

Nice pics.
