05:34 am - An early start
The dogs got it into their heads that 3:45 was a good time to wake up this morning. Seeing as I went to bed at about 9:30 I didn't disagree too strongly. Got up and let them out, let them back in at 4:15, fed them and had my own breakfast and was out the door by 4:30.

It was particularly quiet on Como Avenue, where I usually catch my bus so I decided to walk a couple of blocks to the nearest bus shelter that had a schedule, just to see how long I'd have to wait. Turns out the first bus runs at about 5:30. Rather than wait around for an hour or head back home, I decided to walk into work. Got to the office at about 5:00. My math reveals that an 8-hour day will get me heading back home about 1:00 p.m. Just in time to feed the dogs their lunch!

So it feels like a short day for me, though I suspect I'll have a nap after I get home.

Is Ericka still in the hospital? Any scheduled time she'll come home? I haven't gotten there yet (combination of looming work deadline and knees that hurt when I sit in the car), and supposedly there will be much snow and snarly traffic this afternoon, so I'm thinking maybe I should mail the books, either to the hospital or your house, though I would still try to get over to see her. She is still in the hospital, the plan I heard last was that she wants to come home tomorrow. No telling how that plan will fare once tomorrow gets here.

Yep, that 5 - 130 shift I had back at Manele always went so FAST.
