10:14 pm - Long, unproductive weekend
These last four days were about as good as my life gets without special effort. I stayed in, slept in, ate pretty well, played Xbox 'til the wee hours and like that. I didn't do a lick of work and that's how I like it.

The only down side is that I've somehow contracted pink eye. There are two possibilities for how this has happened: 1) lsanderson transferred it to me by mentioning his case in an entry or 2) one of the kids on the Xbox network infected me by means of a shotgun to the face.

The nurse line for Health Partners listened to my symptoms and suggested I see the doctor tomorrow if it isn't any better and to use warm compresses to relieve the irritation in the meantime. The warm compress helped and things felt better after sleeping last night so I have high hopes for the morning. I know that I won't let myself miss any work because of this, though it might get uncomfortable staring at a computer screen under fluorescent lights all day.
Current Mood: irritatedirritated

Pink eye that's bad enough will affect your ability to see. And that line isn't very hard to reach. Keep that in mind while going to work. Plus then there's the people you can give it to. Anyone you don't like? Touch everything in their office.:)

Yeah, the whole harm to vision thing was what got me to call the nurse line for my health insurance Sunday night. That and Ericka's suppressed immune system.

Things are much better today after following the advice of the nurse line (warm compress to the eyes), so I think I must have the viral version that goes away in a week or so. I'm keeping tabs on it, though.
