Well, whatever I did to my back was serious enough to keep me from work for a week and it's still keeping me up tonight. I'll probably not go to work tomorrow either. I hope they still love me when I'm better.

To get better, I've been looking for yoga poses to help strengthen my back muscles. The key one for me seems to be the locust pose. It is done by lying face-down and then raising the legs. I did a few half-locust poses tonight (raising only one leg at a time) and it seemed to help. It at least seemed to be exercising the right muscles. I'll give it another go in the morning.

So that's been my life for the last little while. Being sore, resting the sore bits and grumbling silently to myself because, really, I want this better.

I have ceased to give comments along the lines of, "I had that and I am completely over it and pain free now, and here's how I did it" because never, as far as I know, has anyone done what I advised. But I do hope that your back stops hurting soon.

Whereas I'm the fool that rushes in where wiser folk (i.e., minnehaha K) fear to tread.

The forward fold position has always helped on those rare occasions when I've suffered from debilitating back pain...

I, too, hope your back stops hurting soon.
