Sorrow magnified

As am sure most of you have heard John M. Ford died.

At first I was stunned and my mind refused to to put forth any words or images to make sense of this fact.

Then I remembered what I wrote after Gordon R. Dickson died.

I imagine now that Gordy is welcoming Mike to the Enchanted Convention; perhaps scolding him for showing up early.

I read the responses to elisem's announcement and those on Making Light. Now the tears come. Hearing of the loss as others feel it seems to magnify the loss. Mine. Yours. All of ours. The world is missing something today.
