11:31 am - Prairie visitors
I had some new visitors to my front prairie garden while I ate my breakfast this morning. A Monarch butterfly flitted by. A dragonfly buzzed the area several times. And a goldfinch stopped to snack on the seeds of my purple coneflower.

Colorful visitors

We've had butterflies this year, due I feel sure, to the efforts of my neighbor. She planted Altheas along our common boundary and roses across the front of her house. I have fresh water dishes front and back( for the cats) and maybe this combination is the reason. Whatever, it is such a joy to see them.
