I've noticed the arrival of Spring in these parts. A quick peek out the window showed that my daffodils and irises are beginning to peek out. So that means it's time to get out and do some work in the gardens. Have to clear away the detritus of last year's growing season and Winter. I want to move the irises to the other side of the front door where they will make a lovely backdrop for whatever gets planted in front of them instead of overshadowing the daffodils as they do now.
The prairies need to have last year's growth removed from them to help the ground warm and give the early-starting prairie plants a head-start on the weeds.
I want to get smothering materials along a southern stretch of my back yard in an effort to start the landscaping I have planned for there. I already have a chunk of space where I want to get a rain garden put in if I can swing it.
So hopefully, with the time shift and all, I'll have a chance to do some work outside tomorrow.
