Just as I thought I was getting better, the snot army has brought up its reserves for an all-out assault on my sinuses. The Flonase I've used over the last few days seems to blunt this assault but not long enough to last the full night. I've been taking it after my breakfast in the morning, about 8:00 a.m. and it's been running out, leaving me drained and draining at about 2:00 a.m. That would be right in the middle of my work shift. So, today, I'm going to try taking it a little after noon in hopes that it will last through enough of my shift that I'll be able to go to work without being completely miserable.
The unfortunate consequence of this is that I am, of course, miserable now. This throws my regular sleeping schedule out of whack, but i figure I'll be able to sleep this afternoon and evening with miraculously cleared sinuses. (Crosses fingers.)
I've missed a week's worth of work already and can ill-afford to miss more. Here's hoping this strategy helps me avoid that.
