10:37 am - And from another perspective... Kind of a companion piece to the one I posted yesterday. (Thanks to laurel for pointing it out.)

I read that one somewhere yesterday, and all I could think was how she complains about Kerry, then that Bush is just as bad...then sells out her [alledgedly] gay friends anyway.

I agree that her logic is full of holes. What I found compelling was the emotion behind her plea. It sounded like she really, really wanted to vote for Kerry but couldn't find a reason to do so. While she had reasons to not vote for Bush, choosing a bad thing she knew was better than choosing something she didn't know. Logic vs emotion. She went with emotion. Typical chick.
This is why women shouldn't be allowed to vote. ![[User Picture]](https://l-userpic.livejournal.com/26794803/53954) | From: | jbru |

Shouldn't someone like her be making me a sandwich? I'm curious. Both Bush and Kerry oppose gay marriage. Bush favors a Constitutional amendment banning it that doesn't have enough support to pass in Congress, nor enough support in the states to become part of the Constitution if it did; Kerry doesn't.
So how was her voting for Bush "selling out" her gay friends?
(And that aside, is it requisite, if one has gay friends, to be a one issue voter on gay marriage rights issues, even when the candidates are far apart on them?) |
