|12:25 pm - Whoop! whoop!|
Went off to the Ramsey County Library this morning to pick up the latest bag full of books for Ericka. Turned on the radio before I got my iPod hooked up and heard an advertisement for the Minnesota Irish Fair. They advertised music "featuring Gaelic Storm, The Saw Doctors and Seven Nations." The Fair runs this Friday through Sunday, August 13-15.
The fair's web site doesn't list Gaelic Storm on their main stage schedule, but the band's web site lists the fair as one of their tour dates. Seven Nations is scheduled to appear all three days. Friday night, our own Tim Malloys are on the main stage at 6:15, right before Seven Nations. The Saw Doctors are scheduled at 9:00 p.m. Saturday night.
Will be a weekend full of good music and fun! (And, neener, neener, minnehaha, you're in France and will miss it. ;)

Well, Seven Nations are obnoxious and can be missed. Oy, we gave 'em the two thumbs down at WFF a few years ago.
I knew about the Docs, of course. I thought about making an announcement to let local folks know.

I thought you maybe did. Half thought that might be why B was flying back when you mentioned that.
I seem to recall Seven Nations being OK when they were at the zoo with Great Big Sea a couple of years back. Maybe they grew up a bit? I've seen Gaelic Storm a few times and they are fun so two out of three headliners won't be bad, in any case.
