Homecoming on hold, but bonus fun!

Ericka is very ready to come home. Planning on how to break out of the joint. That kind of ready. The plan is that the doctor sees her early this afternoon, I get out of my meeting at 2:30 and head home to get the van and pick her up. The plan is predicated on the doctor thinking she's doing well. The fly in the ointment at this point is that they reduced her steroid dosage yesterday and it remains to be seen if her breathing is doing well enough for her to come home. We wait on pins and needles.

The good news in my life is that I've acquired an Xbox 360! Now I will have no further need for face-to-face socialization! Well, OK, really, it means that time I've poured into playing solitaire or soduku I can pour into something with killer graphics and frantic action! If you don't hear from me, assume I'm playing Xbox. I figure my obsession will die down in a month or three.

Diggity dogs!

Ericka was released from the hospital this afternoon and is home, resting and breathing reasonably well. (Which reminds me of the Canadian national identity: As Canadian as possible under the circumstances.)

The animals and I are well pleased with this turn of events.

If you didn't get to see her in the hospital, you can always come by and see her at home. Give a call to be sure she isn't off at an appointment or some such, but visitors always cheer her.
