I think this guy did a good job analyzing a security system and applying the concept to another. What he's missing, I think, is understanding of public-key encryption that would turn his idea into reality.
If one's email address did not accept mail unless it was encoded with one's public key, that would be the electronic equivalent of his Paris apartment building.
Or am I missing something?
