Another chilly night

I think I acclimate quickly to the cold. Tonight doesn't seem as cold to me as last night did. I didn't bother dragging my "No, I'm not going to be cold" big, wool, Hungarian szur (Folkways pattern) out of the closet to put on over my leather jacket and big fuzzy shirt.

I've always thought that my Scandinavian heritage made me perfectly adapted to survive the cold. Not in an Eskimo/Inuit kind of way, with extra body fat and other adaptations. No, at the slightest hint of chill my body shuts down blood supply to my extremities. I'd be the first one to lose fingers on the arctic expedition, but the last one to freeze to death.
