Music:Ballad of Eddie Klepp--Chuck Brodsky--The Baseball Ballads
To make the job of planning my garden more manageable, I've decided to chunk it into smaller portions. The garden is L-shaped with the short leg of the L running East-West along the north side of my property. The long leg of the L, then, runs North-South along the east edge of my property. The southern-most chunk of the L will be tailored to attract and provide habitat for butterflies. This should also provide lots of varied flowers to see from the big picture window in our living room. The more north chunk of the long side of the L will be a short prairie, keeping Ericka's sight-lines to the corner open. The short leg of the L will be designed to attract and provide habitat for birds, particularly focusing on seed-producing plants for late autumn feeding.
