01:39 am - Slow Monday
Well, things didn't get any busier over the weekend here at work. There is currently no work to do and the closest we are to having work is the 330 pages that are due at 10:00 p.m. Tuesday. I don't know if it will even get through initial conversion before 8:00 a.m. when I'm done.

I had my Cheerios, banana and juice this morning and then ran off to the library for Ericka (during which I discovered plans for the weekend as noted previously). Then I slept until about 6:00 p.m., grabbed a PB&J and an apple and watched the first 2/3 of the Twins game. They were down by a couple of runs when I had to start getting ready for work. I hope they can pull it out and split the series with Oakland.

We're having pizza at work tonight, so I'm getting another dose of veggies from that. Plus a can of apple juice with the pizza so far. So I think I'm at about 3.5 fruits and 1.5 veggies for the day. Not bad. I'm finding it pretty easy to add fruit to my diet but the vegetables are being more difficult. I'll keep plugging away at it.

I drempt I was in a corner store with Moe and a few others and I was caving in buying and eating pastries. I was horrified when I remembered I'd already had a pastry earlier in the day. What a nightmare!

Do you like raw vegetables and dip? I can easily eat well over a "serving" of baby carrots, celery, sliced bell peppers, broccoli and the like if I've got ranch dip or salsa or hummus to dip them in. Our supermarket also has packages of raw sugar snap peas for munching that I've served on many a game night.

On the other hand, I really like vegetables, so I've never had to go to great lengths to try to eat them. It comes naturally. :)

There's always V-8!

The sad thing is, I like vegetables. I just don't think about them. The raw veggies and dip idea goes well with the salad bar fajitas someone else suggested. The trick for me is figuring out how to keep the right amount of fresh veggies around. Too few and I run out. Too many and they go bad.

I am doing pretty good at getting juice. Have a carrot/apple/passionfruit one that I like right now. So it's a veggie/fruit mix.

Maybe I should take up drinking bloody marys....

::chuckle:: See, that's not a nightmare for me. Pastries are OK to me as long as I get in enough veggies. But to each according to their needs...
